Travel to Thailand alone or with a tour group?

I live in Bangkok and think that you should just book your flight. Thailand is generally a safe place to travel around as a single woman (I feel a lot safer here than anywhere I've lived in Europe) and you will definitely make lots of friends. Travel and tours are really easy to set up once you're here from travel agents and will work out a lot cheaper than booking from your country. When you arrive, head to Khao San Road in BKK and you will be amazed at how many people you will meet and will help you. Good luck and have fun.
